About Big Walnut Friends Who Share

Our Mission

The mission of the Big Walnut Friends Who Share is to work to improve the living conditions of families and individuals in need/crisis who reside in the Big Walnut School District by securing donated items (including clothing, food, household furnishings, cash contributions, etc.) and then distributing them free of charge to these persons.

How We Started

It began in Barb Jeffers’ garage with many clothes, shoes, and a gift of love for a small town.

Her vision soon became Big Walnut Friends Who Share, a non-profit, volunteer-driven effort that assists those in need within the Big Walnut School District.

Almost 30 years later, the Center provides food and household items for hundreds of families monthly, Christmas gifts for children, families, and seniors, and backpacks full of school supplies from children every fall.
